APRIL 2020

From the Scoutmaster’s chair

Welcome new Scouts, Ayden and Jacob! Thank you for choosing Troop 4! Onward to a great opportunity for campouts, activities, meetings and of course fun! — Mr. R.

How are we existing in a virtual world?

Wow this is new to all of us! Learning curve expected. All of our virtual meetings have 2
options for participation.

1. Click on the link in the email invite and log in with a computer.

2. In the same invite, there is a telephone # and an access code. Please try the one that works best

Below is a listing of our virtual meetings.

Troop 4 youth are still meeting every Wednesday from 7 to 8 pm. The PLC goal is to have a meeting encouraging everyone to participate. Games and challenges welcome.

Thursday evening is advancement. If you need help or have a question, you can sign up during the Wednesday Troop meeting by asking Mr. R. and Mr. Billings for an invite to the advancement meeting. We try to set up this meeting for 7 pm
on Thursday. The invite can go out around 4 pm.

PLC is meeting on a regular basis (weekly at the moment).

Troop committee is meeting once per month. If you have a question or need help with an online meeting, please call or text Mr. R. at 978-407-0028.

Advancement Updates

Congrats to all of the Scouts who participated in Merit Badge University.

How many merit badges are you now taking on line?

Do you know how to find online advancement including merit badges? It is really simple. Our
council website is a good place to start. Go to Heartofnewenglandbsa.org. On the blue bar, select program, then calendar and activities.

Also check out the council Facebook page. The
30-day rank challenge up to first class is a great
opportunity.
